The 2026 Spring Capsule Wardrobe
Living on the west coast has some perks such as wearing athleisure wear just about everywhere. Thankfully, the 2026 Spring season accommodates these low key vibes. If a capsule wardrobe is new to you–welcome to reduced decision fatigue, less random clothing items, more money in the bank, and appearing put-together. It is my firmly held opinion that capsule wardrobes have launched many a successful woman.
Shedding bulky layers may be an act of faith depending on where you live so modify as needed. Now on to the It List for Spring 2026.
How to compile a capsule wardrobe
A capsule wardrobe should reflect your life not a Pinterest board. It should also incorporate core pieces not trends. Before adding an item to cart, ask yourself: “Can I create at least three distinct outfits with this piece of clothing?”
Examples of outfit formulas:
- Trouser + knit + blazer
- Dress + cardigan + boots
- Jeans + button down + loafers
- Skirt + tee + structured jacket

- 4 Tops – tees, blouses, knit top, sweater
- 3 Bottoms – jeans, pants, skirt
- 2 Dresses – day to evening and potentially special occasion dress
